My Background and Approach
I’m John Chasteen, a Master's-level therapist dedicated to supporting clients across Ohio and Kentucky. I have over ten years of experience working in both outpatient and high-acuity behavioral health settings. My focus is on helping people manage anxiety, trauma symptoms, emotional distress, and relationship challenges. I am highly trained in evidence-based methods like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My approach is warm, compassionate, and practical, aiming to help you make lasting, meaningful changes while ensuring you feel truly understood and supported.
A lot of people come to therapy after they’ve tried everything they know how to do. They’ve pushed through, stayed strong, and kept showing up — but something still feels heavy, stuck, or exhausting. If that’s where you are, I want you to know: it makes sense, and you don’t have to keep doing it alone.
